1 /5 Wendy Castro: If you are struggling with a circumstance that requires extra money, sell something or find another place because this place is truly predatory. Enrique promised me and my husband that the GAP insurance is able to cover all costs and no insurance settlement would be taken. Not only did they take the entire $4600 settlement from my insurance (which was more than the loan), they applied GAP, and then had the audacity to charge me $200 from my account after we repeatedly called and they said no more charges would occur (Enrique). They twist their words and literally lie to you and then expect you to not be upset. Nicholas, the “supervisor”, is actually the worst. It wouldn’t have been as bad of an experience if I hadn’t dealt with Nicholas. While talking to him and explaining our experience, he was playing mind games and being extremely passive aggressive. When I explained the extra charge, despite Enrique telling me they’ll waive it five minutes earlier, he said it seems like I have a “problem with money, rather than a concern for One Main”. This is funny to me given he probably makes $18 an hour and is one mistake away from losing everything like the rest of us. He kept being passive aggressive and focusing on minor details rather than the actual problem. I said “we” had been calling for a while and he chose to focus on the days I specifically called instead of me and my husband as a collective. Obviously I meant us as a collective, Spanish is my first language and even I can understand I meant me and my husband as a collective on this account. He just wanted to waste time and frustrate me on small details so he wouldn’t have to talk to me and I’d just get frustrated and hang up. This is also evident in the language he tried to use against me. I gave him specific dates of contact and stuff like that and I accidentally said weeks instead of week (recovering from a serious car accident so sorry???) but I used the exact dates. He then harps on how it’s not weeks, and I’m wrong for that specific reason. Whether it was weeks, days, or months, this place is a vile facility. Enrique just seems overwhelmed maybe idk he’s still a decently nice guy (even if he said stuff that wasn’t true). But Nicholas, when you make fun of someone’s financial situation, especially given you are no where near better than me, it makes the experience uncomfortable and hurtful. I hope that perhaps you get disciplined or some action because id hate for anyone in a difficult financial situation to ever deal with someone so vile and condescending.
