2 /5 Robin Davis: Our original experience was friendly family business. After several years of coverage, we were notified of the cancellation of our homeowners insurance policy by the carrier. My husband immediately went to the office- one of the younger McClains told him they had it under control, they were changing carriers and wouldnt allow our policy to lapse. He went back again several months later to verify that right before the renewal date. 45 days later we were notified by the carrier that our insurance had indeed lapsed. When my husband went in again, this time the older McClain impressed upon the son that this was not good customer service, but the cavalier attitude displayed by the son did not impress. While they did ultimately restore our coverage with another company, continued carelessness required two more office visits to get the names on the policies corrected. Not comforting.
