My story begins back in 2020 when I was presented with an opportunity that, at the time, seemed like a viable extra stream of income for myself and my family. I took the necessary financial steps to get my new business off the ground. I soon found myself in the middle of what felt like a big scam. Like the saying goes, “if something sounds too good to be true it usually is.” Fast forward to 2022, when I thought all was lost and I would never see my financial investment returned, the superhero team of Mager Parúas came in and saved the day! A friend of mine knew what I was going through with this business investment and how heavily it was weighing on myself and my family, both mentally and financially. He said to me, “I know of this great law firm with a great team of attorneys that I know can help you.” The sign on their office building states they are ADVOCATES FOR JUSTICE, and in the end that is exactly the outcome that I received. JUSTICE. When I first called the firm, I was not even sure if I had a case or if they would even entertain a situation like mine. I was pleasantly surprised when I was put right on the phone with Scott Mager, who is the founding partner of the firm. He carefully listened to my situation, asking all the pertinent questions, and after about 5 minutes on the phone he said, “I think we can definitely help you out.” When I heard those words, a calmness came over me and a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. This was the first moment of clarity and ease I had in over 2 years since first dealing with this situation. Scott asked me to come into the office for a meeting to discuss my case in more detail. When I arrived for that meeting, I did not know what to expect as this was all new to me. I was welcomed in such a way that I knew I was in the right place with the right team that was going to help me. I sat with Scott for oven an hour discussing my entire situation. He then brought in attorney Doug Lazzaro who would be handling my case. He worked tirelessly for 3 years and, in the end, got me a very favorable judgement in my case. I would be remiss if I also didn’t mention Florida Registered Paralegal Patty Creech, who was right there alongside Doug fighting for justice in my case. She too kept me in the loop with the progress of my case and made sure to always put my mind at ease. She always took my calls and answered my questions.
