1 /5 Josh Smith: This company has been a nightmare to deal with. I relocated to Florida and reached out to Caton-Hosey for my insurance needs. I figured I would try going through a broker so they could find me the best rate. Initially, my experience was positive. After being a longtime Geico customer, they jacked my rates up significantly despite my good driving record. The agent at Caton-Hosey found me a much better rate with better coverage. She was very helpful and made a good first impression. It went downhill pretty quickly afterwards. Instead of working with the pleasant individual I worked with to purchase the policy, they assigned me an "account manager" who was completely unhelpful. The few times I ever needed anything from her, she was very short with me and acted as if I was inconveniencing her in some way. She would constantly give me the runaround saying that I needed to contact the insurance provider to change anything. Well guess what. The insurance provider could not make any changes. Caton-Hosey has to do that. But our account manager would continue to say I needed to contact the provider. I canceled all of my policies with them and went elsewhere. But the Saga continues. I had a claim for hurricane damage while I was insured with Caton-Hosey and asked the insurance provider for documentation because my current insurance company said it was showing as a collision. Unsurprisingly, they said I had to contact Caton-Hosey. I have tried calling and no one will answer the phone or return my voicemail. Just save yourself the trouble and stay far far away from this place. Once you buy a policy they are done helping you.
