1 /5 M.k.Trina: I had homeowners insurance with Brian West, with two homes over a 4 1/2 year span. Both policies were with citizens. My home is on the water so I required extra flood insurance, I purchased flood insurance on time, Brian West office never contacted me, what they did was completely cancel my homeowners policy with my loan PennyMac, the only way I found out that was through a snail mail from Penny Mac. When I reached out to Brian West, the office was confused for about 30 minutes and then called me back telling me that you never sent information about the flood, so we cancelled you, yet we’re not gonna talk to you, when I was setting up the flood insurance, I had a receptionist sent over the information to Monique about my homeowners policy prior to my flood insurance canceling. They knew l was working with another agent to purchase another flood insurance policy. Nothing lapsed with flood insurance.
Because the policy was cancelled and processed the cancellation for Citizens.
I had to get a four-point inspection and mitigation report all over again plus my premium went up almost $1800 per year, All because of Brian West. Nothing changed in my home and I never file claims. I use Monique from Florida flood insurance, she processed my flood application which she did because, l signed all the contracts and received proof.
The reason that my homeowners policy was because Brian West Office is so lazy and incompetent about doing their job.
It was extremely unprofessional and exhausting to deal with. I always answer my phone, I can’t in the life of me understand what they were thinking when they canceled me without calling me, nothing lapsed! Nobody will take me except for citizens, but I found a new agent to sell me homeowners insurance. Please stay away from office!
