But now I know what to expect, so thank you for the insight. Agents are no longer supposed to be quoting Citizens when there are other solutions available. They are to be treated as carrier of very last resort. Policies are subject to depopulation as Citizen’s goal is to get under 400,000 policies and hopefully, you understand your policy may be subject to steep assessments. As a professional representative of Citizens, our agency is obligated to honor the guidelines and intents as set forth by Citizens. We happen to have a very large book with them, so if we thought that would have been an appropriate solution, it would have been presented. So, enjoy the upcoming rollercoaster. Please keep in mind that I am not a bucket-shop for cheap insurance solutions….it will always come back to bite you. Be sure to read the fine print so you do understand what you have purchased. Obviously, closing my files on these.
