1 /5 Diana Woodside: I cannot recommend this agency at all. They are the carriers for a contractor that worked on my home and did not correctly install my roof, or to the specs of the shingle company either. He also did work on our home for which he lied and stated he was licensed for, causing so much damage I now have water damage to my home. I call their claims agent nearly every day, no one will do a thing. Now I am hiring a lawyer to go after this company for the additional damages caused by this roofer, who is now being investigated by the state and has a lengthy court history even with his taxes. Please buyer beware. You might be okay with getting a cheap quote, but when problems arise, there is no help. Such a bad agency!

1 /5 W Shaker: Furman engages in elder abuse by taking advantage of the elderly and overcharging them. They flatly refused to remove one driver from the auto policy (despite having surrendered their license and no longer drive). They issued a new auto policy without authorization (when all we asked for was a quote) and increased the premium by over $1200/yr. Even worse, the homeowners policy had not been updated for inflation for decades, only providing $56K of coverage for a dwelling worth $350K. Mismanagement from top to bottom. When we complained, they ignored us, and sent us more new bills asking for additional payments which represented premium increases they instituted in their own with no input from us. Both policies have since been replaced. Formal complaints have been submitted to the Florida Atty Gens Ofc and the Florida Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Services - both for elder abuse.
