5 /5 Adam Williams: I came into the shop a few months ago, and am very glad I did. It was on a whim, as I had seen his sign from Alvarado St. and decided to pop in and check it out. All I knew is that I wanted to see the selection of rings and possibly buy one. As soon as I walked in I saw a marvelous display of jewelry unlike anything I’ve seen at other jewelery stores. Steve was working at his table, and once he saw my friend and I enter we were greeted cordially and asked what he could do for us. At this point our conversation started and I got a glimpse into the mind of a master jeweler. After sharing his wisdom and humor with us, we got around to finding a ring. He knew right away what had drawn my eye, and with just a glance he picked the one that fit me just right. I can only describe my experience as refreshing, as Steve is a truly genuine person. I am very pleased with my purchase and am looking forward to doing business with Steve in the future.

I have known Steve Saunders since I went to him in 1997 to have an engagement ring created from scratch. Steve takes your idea or concept and turns it into a one of a kind beautiful piece of reality that youll be proud to own and share! He has gone on to make several custom pieces for me over 21 years. Each time, I have walked out of his shop totally ecstatic, mesmerized and satisfied by his work. My son and I were visiting from out of town on vacation when we came across this wonderful jewelry store off the beaten path in downtown Monterey. Steve was inviting, friendly and very helpful. He enlightened us with stories from his past while we meandered through the display cases and admired his craftsmanship.
