1 /5 Vianka Duverglas: After reading some of the good reviews, I went ahead and called the number listed. An older woman picked up the phone said "Home of the Rate Crushers, how may i help you?" I told her Im shopping around for auto insurance would they be able to assist? She said "yes" i said are rates good right now? She said "No. Auto rates are like the economy and the auto industries took a 3 billion dollar loss, so its not good". I said oh okay "similar to a lot of industries at the moment but, auto insurance is a state requirement in order to drive, so what can we do right!!" She then said "you must have not heard me.. I said NO the rates are NOT good. I asked surprisingly "well can we discuss what some of the rates are?" The woman then said "NO, I dont feel like discussing any rates, BYE!!!!" And hung up on me! ... If youre reading this, thank you Maam for your customer service. Meantime, I hope this review helps any other well intentioned Oakland resident looking for local owned auto insurance- your better off going elsewhere with your business. ~
