1 /5 Ashley Brown: I want to share my experience. I (a black woman) walked into this place professionally dressed wanting to sell some scrap gold. The man behind the counter literally looked me up and down and said he’s not buying gold right now. I noted the sign that says they were buying gold and I said “ok thank you” I left feeling uneasy, also because this man stared at me the whole time I was in the parking lot…so I called a friend who is Caucasian and was actually the person that told me to go into the shop in the first place as they have bought gold from her many times. She went in an hour after me and the man gave her the royal treatment and said yes indeed they were buying gold. I had ANOTHER (Caucasian) friend go in and she asked if they were buying gold and he also told her yes! My friend then explained to him that I had gone in hours before and he told me he wasn’t buying gold. I was on the phone in her pocket listening to his reason as to why he told me no. He explained that his fingerprint machine was down but he never explained that to me. When I asked my friends who have sold gold there before about being fingerprinted they said he’s never fingerprinted them. Not only that, but my friend who had just walked in and simply asked if they were buying gold, he told her yes…no fingerprint mention! I am appalled at the treatment I received and will obviously never give this company any of my business. I hope no-one gets treated as I did.

1 /5 Linsey Quin: Racism isn’t always overt but at Legacy Jewelers, it’s unmistakable. The owner dismissed my Black friend with a curt “I’m not buying gold,” despite signage indicating otherwise. Moments later, her white friend received the opposite response cordial, enthusiastic, and eager to purchase. No shift in policy only in pigmentation. When confronted, the owner scrambled for a feeble justification. Discrimination dressed up in denial is still discrimination. Absolutely unacceptable. DO NOT support this business.

5 /5 Hal Abrams: Hands down the best jeweler Ive encountered. Marina was able to fix a badly kinked, damaged gold necklace. She did a fabulous job. The chain was fixed within two weeks and did not cost an arm and a leg. Not to mention, both Marina and Cory are personable and friendly. I will be back if the need arises. Great to find local businesses that make our community shine!

5 /5 Kenny Vaughan: Took my watch in for a new battery and glass replacement. After watching videos online I seriously debated doing all the work myself and buying the tools needed. I was hesitant to have the work done professionally because of the cost usually associated with it. I was pleasantly surprised with the price and the service. I will update my review when I receive my watch back. 5 stars so far!!
