1 /5 Summer Hudson: I have been coming to Knowles Jewelers for several years. They have always been fast efficient and extremely friendly. Sue has always been such a doll, but today I had such an awkward experience. I had told her that I wanted to look into upgrading my half carat diamond on my wedding ring to a 1 carat diamond. She had told me that they would have to see if the one carrot would fit on the heading of the half carat. In a way this is odd because I had brought in one of my old quarter carat diamond cluster rings to swap for a 5-carat solid citrine Stone and they did it with no problem. For some reason Sue was kind of snobby today. Id also told her how I would love to have a lab-grown diamond because its more cost-efficient and she basically frowned upon that and had made a comment about lab grown diamonds being "fake." I understand jewelery stores would rather sell a natural diamond, but, really? From what I understand lab grown diamonds are real diamonds. Chemically, physically, and optically, lab-grown diamonds are identical to natural ones. Theyre real diamonds with the same crystal structure and beautiful sparkle as natural diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds also have the same famous Mohs hardness of 10. Theyre just as durable as natural diamonds, but are more affordable, and are GIA Certified. Sue also knows who I am being a returning customer for several years, but when I mentioned my name and her response to was "oh yeah". Not "Oh yes, hi there!" Like she usually does but, more monotone like I was boring her. This really turned me off about her and Knowles Jewelers. I had taken several of my rings there over these years to be sized, specially made, modified, cleaned, etc. but she really upset me with her, not only mentioning, that lab-grown diamonds were fake, but also her response to me upgrading to a full carat as opposed to a half carat, and her response to who I was. Im sorry but I think I may be finding another jeweler soon. And, Im absolutely heartbroken.
