High Chaparral Western Wear - South Lake Tahoe (CA)

4 /5 Rose Stewart: I was in lake Tahoe on vacation with my family. We also came to see the concert of Jon Pardi. It was a little bit warm and the Western shirt that I bought was long sleeve and I thought it was going to be a little bit too hot for the concert. I found a shirt and I wanted to try it on in the dressing room. There were two ladies working a younger one and an older lady. It was really busy. I asked them when they have the time to please open the dressing room. One of them came by and opened the dressing room. The store had a lot of cute things. Kind of expensive but theyre very cute. I ended up buying two Western shirts. Next time I go to Tahoe I will stop by the store again.

1 /5 L L: I would give them a negative star rating. Worst experience I have ever had in a store!!! The manager (grey and black hair/baseball hat) was as rude as you can imagine. Not helpful and had no customer service skills. Had an item that did not fit properly when wearing it out with the wind. Stepped back in the store 3 sec. later and asked if I could return. He emphatically said no and stated no returns. I understand no returns but I literally walked out of the store and seconds later back in. It was a cash purchase and he could of easily given me my money back. He choice to be abrupt, rude and just outright mean. Will never shop there again. Many stores near by that can buy same items with better quality and customer service . Just a sad commentary… Interesting response. A manager that does not want to take responsibility for his actions. I bought a hat. Yes I tried it on in the store. It was bagged up when leaving. Took it out the bag, put it on and the wind blew it off because it did not fit. The timing maybe 60 secs. Walked back in and shared the story with the manager and asked kindly if I could get a refund because it was a bit too small and the next size was huge. It is not protocol for a clothing store not ti to return. It was not damaged nor should of been discarded. The manager also called the police because I asked for a return. Do you call this the best customer service? I walked a little further to another clothing store very close and shared my experience. Response:: “Of course I would return the item if you just left the store and the item was in good condition. I would of remembered who you were.” That store owner also has the same policy of no returns. It is all about meeting the customer at a reasonable point and realizing no one is trying to take advantage. My simple wish would of been to just be treated as a decent human being and have the manager acknowledge that I was being honest and just wanted to find a hat that fit. Life should not be this difficult. Have a beautiful day!

1 /5 Jill Dunn: Employee was immediately rude when I walked in wearing a mask and prepared to sanitize my hands. She yelled, “Ah ah ah, sanitize your hands!” There was no other greeting other than that, and when I replied with, “you know what, we are actually leaving,” she said, “great, bye!” I recommend shopping elsewhere.

5 /5 Dora: I highly recommend Michael if you need a knowledgeable and expert skier/boot fitter. Michael spent over 2h with me helping me choose the right ski boots. I’ve been skiing with it for over a month now and it the boots have been a game changer for me on the slopes- in terms of comfort, control of skis and adventuring into black diamonds. Thanks Michael for your patience and sharing your expertise with me- our chat at the store was a lesson in and of itself. Thanks so much!
