5 /5 C F: Fourtane is a jewel box of a jewelry store. The space is chic and elegant and the pieces are exquisite. The staff could not be nicer or more welcoming. Rosa always has a smile and warm welcome for customers. Marina is a pleasure to work with and a consummate professional. Juan, the jewelry designer, is top notch! Even though I am a New Yorker who could shop anywhere (and also a part time Carmel resident), I choose to buy my jewelry at Fourtane for the selection and the unparalleled service. I especially love the wide selection of estate jewelry and the stories behind each piece.
I was recently blown away by Fourtane’s coordinated effort to help transform a family heirloom emerald ring into something hip and cool for a 30th birthday present for our daughter. Juan freehand sketched several wonderful possibilities that were works of art in themselves. Marina stayed in contact with me by text throughout the process by sending photos and descriptions of possible side stones. It was all very well coordinated and Juan and Marina made the process fun and easy. The ring is currently being made and I can’t wait to see the finished product!
In the town of Carmel where jewelry stores are in abundance, it’s refreshing to see a business that takes such pride in the quality of its jewelry and the expertise of its staff. Fourtane offers a curated collection of very beautiful pieces showcased by a staff that cares and makes you feel like a valued customer. I can’t think of anywhere in NYC that compares!
