After I recently sold my primary residence and purchased a new one, my previous insurance company (who will remain nameless) informed me that they no longer write new homeowner policies in California. Bear in mind I had been with them 15 years with 6 policies covering 2 properties, auto and umbrella. Shopping around for a new insurer was challenging as many of the first tiers have stopped writing policies here. When I initially contacted Farmers, the declined because there had been a claim on the property nearly 5 years ago. Then Davis went to bat for me and contacted Farmers HQ who approved coverage. Net net, I have now moved all 6 polices to Farmers. You guys Rock…especially Davis!!
