1 /5 A R: We are only customers because this agency bought out our former agents business. We reached out to Harold a couple of times to get info on what happened with our old agent and how he became our new agent. The office is across the bay and not very convenient for us to access the location. We reached out to meet with him to review our policies as we had done with our former agent. After no response, we told him that we were considering changing agents since he was unresponsive. He emailed back with a short and snippy remark saying fine, were free to do whatever we want. Its been a few years, we still havent looked around and are still with this agency. The only contact weve had is when we receive emails about our policies bill.

1 /5 Skylynne Ellazar: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - This branch is the most unprofessional place ever. After getting into 1 accident in 10+ years my insurance nearly doubled! After calling to ask what my options are and how they could possibly accommodate me, they said “well too bad that’s the way it is” and the rep who was a woman who answered HUNG UP ON ME. After emailing them for weeks about getting a confirmation email about canceling my policy they never emailed me bad (so unprofessional). I ended up getting a letter in the mail but they never canceled my renters insurance. Make sure to do your due diligence. There are far better places to go in the area than this guy don’t waste your time.

5 /5 Margo Davis: In a crazy world of do-it-yourself online only access, a senior can be left with unanswered questions and stay adrift in a sea of options. It was a total relief to find Harold, recommended by a friend. We accomplished in a short time what I needed: car insurance and renters insurance and an umbrella policy to meet my needs. Harold will always get back to you in a timely manner. Bravo.

1 /5 Michael McCrary: This agent inherited my business from another Allstate agent that retired. The customer service at Harold Lorber is abysmal in comparison. My call today was the last straw when the person could not provide any information about adjusting the policy to reduce the shock of the 45% increase of an upcoming renewal -- without tickets, accidents or claims and having a distinguished driver discount. Instead, she continually said the underwriters have to do that. So if you call and you want actual customer service you will not receive anything like it from Harold Lorbers associates. Do what I have now done; save $$$ (thousands in my case) by going to another company like AAA with actual customer service.

1 /5 Janice March: Do not use this office for insurance. After numerous calls and emails to the office, the staff failed to update the computer system and I was overcharged 18 months for one vehicle, and 13 months for the other one. The only way I was successful in removing the second car was to cancel my policy. Mr. Lorber has failed to issue refund checks for charges that amounted to over $3500.
