1 /5 Tim doll: CONTRACTORS “BEWARE” If you’re a contractor looking for a commercial policy, you will want to avoid Jake Davidson insurance completely! These people have no business dealing in commercial policies very unprofessional initiative and literally don’t care about what they are doing. Jake claims to have your back, but trust me after two years of being a customer I can tell you he doesn’t. I’ve been a contractor now for 28 years. I have only had to deal with two insurance companies during that time. both of those companies would generate certificate of liability insurance forms in which one copy was sent to me and one copy sent to L&I before the due date. I never had any issues the whole time I was with those companies until I jumped ship and signed up with Jake, big mistake. I was under the assumption that they would file my certificate with L&I every year as I had been used to. During sign-up, they never once stated to me any different. This happened three times straight in a row year after year I would contact Nancy (secretary) and complain after all it cost me $59 to reinstate each year it happened.The first time I called her. She told me that it wasn’t their responsibility to file and that they were not going to file for me. now there’s a company that cares about your business and has your back right, wrong. On top of that, they didn’t add L&I or their address under the certificate holder as required. It took Nancy two weeks and five attempts to add a simple address before the state would accept it, RIDICULOUS!!!! The second time I complained to Nancy, she told me that they understood and they were going to start filing accordingly with the L&I. And of course they did not and I got hit again at this point I got upset and expressed my anger towards Nancy and she denied saying that of course and would not pay my $59 reinstatement fee. She actually expressed a sick form of satisfaction over it. Now this really got me upset, so needless to say I canceled and left. On top of being a liar Nancy would not return calls or carry out simple tasks any timely manner. Very unprofessional on so many levels. Save yourself from the disparity and avoid Jake Davison at all cost! “YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED”
