2 /5 Kimberly MorganAdams: Luckily they gave me enough money to pay for damages on a bad water leak claim. But at the end of the year they canceled on us after because the exterior inspection wasnt done on our house. I was told earlier that year the inspection was INTERIOR and exterior, id get unknown phone numbers with Texas area codes calling me in the middle of a work day from random inspectors that would just show up to my house without any warning trying to access my property when I wasnt home. This happened multiple times till I said enough, you need to let me know what day youd get here so I can give you access, the day they did inform me when theyd show up they were a no show. Well cut back to when I received a cancelation notice end of the year I called the agency and said I wasnt working anymore and told the agent Im allowing an inspector to show up whenever since Im home all the time to void the cancellation. This agent told me that the inspection period was over and wouldnt start up till next year and that the cancelation will continue. If I knew it was exterior only I would have totally been fine to let them roam my property while I was at work. My bank got notice of the cancelation and told me to find someone else which I did.
Well how come January my Farmers insurance was renewed anyways and an inspection happened on my property without my knowledge?! The bank paid a premium to a company I thought this whole time I have been canceled with. I got an escrow shortage letter with a new mortgage payment that told me I was going to go homeless. I caught my suspicions quick with that overly large amount. So called my mortgage company and they said they had paid for Farmers next year premium, if it was canceled Farmers should have sent me a check.
I called Farmers customer service and explained everything that happened and the service rep said there is no documentation on file on that cancelation but can see an inspection was done in January... Huh???!! The lack of saving documentation and not going through with your word on company policy caused a expensive error. Never again with Farmers. Very upset by what happened.. miscommunication happened behind the scenes at Farmers that cost me and my bank money and could have cost me way more if I didnt recall my mortgage company telling me I am owed a refund from Farmers due to the policy change.
