We were referred to them in 2018, when we bought our first house. They provided us with excellent coverage options at a very good price. We got to see how good that coverage was because we experienced one of those good ol Texas hail storms before we had completely moved into our new home. Matt Wellman helped us navigate our claim and made sure we were taken care of.
Fast forward a few years, Matt Wellman called me to let me know he had been reviewing our policy and had found us a policy that had more coverage and was significantly lower cost. We trusted him with this and went for it. A few months later we had an even worse hail storm (larger than 2 inches!) We filed through the new insurance companies online system and they assigned an adjuster, but it would take a few weeks for them to come out and inspect. Matt Wellman sent me a text before their adjuster had contacted us, just to check on how we were doing. I let him know that we had filed a claim and that it would take them a while to come out. He said that wasn’t right and immediately called the company who assigned a different adjuster. The new adjuster had our home inspected and an initial payment a week before the first adjuster was scheduled to come out.
You can’t control the weather and in Texas it’s impossible to predict, but you can control who takes care of you when things go bad.
