Chris Lillibridge My wife and I were in a jam. Wed encountered cost-over runs at every turn trying to get our barn done. We already had a loan with CTFC for $250K. My wife didnt think we could get another one through them so she started to shop around. Long story short, we didnt qualify because of the way our farm is structured, and the way our homestead is laid out. We had the equipment, but most of it was already on the first loan. So, my wife couldnt find a competitive rate or authorization anywhere else. I said to her, you know, Chris Tanner told us to call her if we ever needed anything. I ended up calling Chris and she got right to work. She had an appraiser out to us within five days. Within 10 days she had a workable loan for us that would enable us to survive until the following spring and get our barn done. We know she did us a solid, but we also know that Central Texas Farm Credit truly does put their customers first. At this years Customer Appreciation Banquet it was announced that customer appreciation checks would be going out soon because theyd had a record year and were intent on sharing those earnings with their customers, who they said, "Yall are the reason we are here." Truth: We just received that CAC in the amount of $3883.67. If you want to do AG business, this is the place to do it. Talk with Chris Tanner. She is the Branch Manager and she is just OUTSTANDING!

Chad Caldwell This was originally a 2 star review. See end of the review for Smart Financials actions related to my original review. Ive been very impressed with my local branch, but the call center has been a different story. My first interaction was with Valerie. She was friendly and answered all of the questions I had at the time. She also gave me her direct number in case I had any further questions. This is where the customer service has hit an iceberg. I have called her direct line 5 times in two weeks with no response. I know its the correct number because her greeting states her name and says shell contact you back in a timely manner. Im unlikely going to continue this loan process with yall since I have been completely ignored. Will likely just stay with my current "to big to fail" bank, since they at least return queries to my questions. Jeremy and Angela contacted me and completely remedied the issues with me, and I am very satisfied with their response. I believe they will be using this as a team coaching opportunity, and should not be a problem in the future.
