Without her, I could have faced over 20 years in prison, but she worked hard to secure only 2 years of parole for me. I’m incredibly thankful to have my kids by my side. Laura was able to demonstrate that the court was at fault. I wasn’t trying to run away; I simply never received the necessary court paperwork. They had my name and address wrong, which happened while the courts were closed due to COVID-19.
