Start of mortgage process told our broker the property had a lake lease and requested this be reviewed and would not be an issue, we were assured it was not. 3 months later still not closed. We received 3 different closing dates, so 3 days I took off from work, each time something wasnt done so there was no closing. Final time we had the closing date including time but received a call being told we had been denied because of the lake lease..... yep, the same lake lease discussed at the beginning of the process and had been assured would not be an issue. Wasted months and hundreds of dollars.
