I want to thank Jeff Byrnes and his staff (Downtown Mt. Vernon, TX Branch) for resolving the issue with my expired Bank Debit card. My husband and I had a nice chat with Jeff about our Bank concerns. He made sure that our issues were resolved before we left that day. We look forward to a smooth future with Alliance and now have someone we can go to for assistance with all our Banking concerns.
WANT MY OLD BANK BACK!
Disappointed in service of Alliance Bank that bought out our old bank.
1.Replacement for our Debit bank card was not mailed out in timely matter. Card is set to expire at end of month. Its already the 25th of the month and still have not received new card. Bank said it would be sent within 2 days before it was set to expire. This is not a good practice if you have several "auto pay" setups and need extra time to update several vendor accounts which takes time for their own processing to be completed. Now, I will need to make trip to main Bank branch to obtain new card and hopefully update all accounts before payments to vendors are rejected by outdated debit card information.
2.Problem with their Fraud dept as well.
Purchase from Canada made on-line in Texas. Transaction cancelled without Bank contacting me first. When asked for explanation from Customer Service, they said that the fraud department cancelled transaction because the purchase was made with a company in Canada. They claimed they contacted me by phone around 4 am in the morning to discuss cancellation of money being sent from my account but I never received a phone call. Purchase had to be reordered by me. I appreciate the safeguarding of the Fraud dept but dont appreciate their saying they called me when they did not before cancelling my purchase. I also dont understand why a purchase I made on-line in Texas was cancelled just because the order came from Canada. No better explanation was given by Customer Service.
