1 /5 Rumi: This place is run like a mean girl sorority mob house. I love and appreciate the diversity as the ladies all speak Spanish to their bilingual customer base -- but anything outside of that, they eye you up and down and check to see if youre shoplifting -- even if youre in bare hands waiting in the checkout line to ask for small leather goods at the counter.
Initially there are smiles when they greet you, but they speak fast and have an inauthentic, uncomfortable, aggressive-friendly demeanor asking if they can help.
I did purchase a small item as a gift and decided to return it a week later since the item kept reminding me of the negative feeling of when I made my transaction. When I went to return, the associate at the counter scrutinized my item (face deep on a small leather keychain with the gift bag still unwrapped in plastic) looking for a reason to refuse my refund. Caught me a bit off guard, but thankfully I passed their test?
I try to empathize with cultural sensitivity as I come from a cultural background myself -- but the aggression in this store is unnecessary.
