1 /5 Janna Strane: UPDATE/EDIT after owners response:
My husband noticed the cut of the tourmaline got soften immediately after they removed whatever that got stuck on the stone at that time but he felt bad for pointing it out to them since it was late, so he just let it go. He called me the same night that happened (since I was out of the country at the time) but because the last experience with my wedding ring was great, we agreed to let it go. The ring was purchased in October of 2023, by June/July 2024 three stone fell out. Thats not normal. My review is specifically toward the quality of the ring, not about the quality of customer service.
Had a very wonderful first experience with them back then in 2021 when they still didnt have a store for my wedding ring. Still perfectly intact up until this date even though I never take it off (wear it to sleep, shower, etc. you name it). Thats why my husband decided to get me a birthday ring with them when they open the store in 2023. Cant say the experience is nice this time around. My husband brought in a pink tourmaline this time since its my birthstone. Up on receiving it, my husband noticed a glob of glue or something very hard that got stuck on the stone. He asked for it to be removed and they ended up filing it down too much it softened the cut of the stone. We just sucked it up as the stone being soft, no big deal. Around 3 months after wearing it, I noticed the inner side of the band which facing the palm of your hand had a lot of indentions and scratches, even had more scratches than my wedding ring which was more than 2 years old at this time, like the material was way softer than my wedding ring somehow even they were both 18k white gold. Still, we just sucked it up. Around 7 to 8 months after I wore the ring, the first stone on the band fell out, which I notified the store immediately and that time they still offered to fix it for free for me. Between the time of me notifying them and the time I brought the ring to the store, another stone on the band fell off so I paid $100 for that replacement and they covered the first one for free. I thought everything ended there. When they handed me back the ring after fixing it, they said I was too rough with my ring even though at that time I legitimately just stayed at home for the most part with my baby and did not have to use my hands much (I was blessed in that sense). However, it still did not make sense as to why my 8 months old ring looked way more worn out compared to my 2.5 years old ring at that time. Still, we trusted their words and I decided to keep my ring in the jewelry box since I picked it up from the store. Fast forward to around 2 months after that, I decided to wear it one day. I was folding clothes, nothing too heavy or too "rough" and I heard a sound of something small dropped. My gut feeling made me look at my ring and yes, the stone at the exact spot that they "fixed" last time fell out. I even managed to pick up the stone this time. The one time that I decided to take it out of the jewelry box to wear it, the stone fell out. I cant justify spending another $100 and risk that happen again so the ring has been in the jewelry box since. Im gonna have a trip to Vietnam soon and maybe Ill just find my luck in fixing the ring there.
