Pony Express Great local credit union with friendly service Ive been banking with HFCU in Sugar Land for about 2 years now, and overall it’s been a really solid experience. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful—every time I walk in, I’m greeted quickly and they usually get me in and out without much waiting. I opened both a checking and savings account here and the process was super straightforward. They took the time to explain the different options without trying to upsell me, which I appreciated. Their mobile app is decent—not as slick as some big banks, but it gets the job done for mobile deposits, transfers, and checking balances. If youre looking for a community-focused credit union with personal service, this is a great option.

Anony Muss I’m pretty sure this bank is running a sort of Ponzi scheme, or at the very least robbing Peter to pay Paul kind of deal. I deposit my check every week. Every Sunday the ATM says my account is empty, and the ladies inside say “yep everything adds up…you spent all of your money”. However, between Tuesday and Thursday half of my paycheck shows up in my account (depending on how much they take out to cover other people’s expenses and let me keep). I’m going to ask the FDIC and BBB to investigate.
