5 /5 Joe Garcia: I bought my wife a new necklace to replace an old one and the pendant she was going to use with it didn’t fit through the clasp. I saw that Birrego had a great rating so we took it there to see what they could do. They were able to take care of the problem for a reasonable price and completed the work quickly with great quality. I will recommend Borrego to anyone needing any jewelry repair or even to buy jewelry. They have great pieces to choose from.

5 /5 kat: Great jewelry store with the nicest staff! This place opened in December (I believe!) in Boerne on Main Street. It’s on the corner of the center next to Tootie Pie and Schlotzskys. It’s luxurious with a hill-country feel. Dark leather chairs, nailhead stools, dark cases which really let the jewelry take center stage, and even some wood accent walls. Super charming!

2 /5 Jen Robertson: The store is nice and the staff is very friendly. I have had some jewelry repaired and appraised over 3-4 transactions that were great! Because of the good experiences I took some jewelry to consign since my parents have passed. Bad is an understatement for this process! I had appraisals on both pieces within the last 15 months and on one I was offered less than 10% of the appraisal (keep in mind on consignment) and the other 18% of the appraisal. The more expensive item (the one offered at 10%) he quickly raised to about 20% of appraisal. The final offer, keep in mind this is consignment so he doesn’t have any money in this inventory, was 23% of appraisal. I declined the offer. First, this is terrible for anyone that is in a hard position that doesn’t know the value of their items. Second, the fact that he increased it that quickly tells me (not that I didn’t know this) he knows what he is doing and is trying to take advantage of people. It made me sick! If you need a repair or appraisal, they are great. Buying jewelry there… I don’t know, but I would definitely negotiate!! But I would NOT recommend them to sell your jewelry!
