Although I am not exactly clear on her role/responsibilities ended once I signed the release form, she assisted with my efforts to secure payment from the moving company, which took over six months. Without her help, I would likely still be waiting for payment.

5 /5 Bart Van de Vel: The Insurance Agent Who Changed My Mind I hate insurance guys. Theyre unresponsive and go above and beyond just to avoid paying out claims. Thats what Ive always believed, until I crossed paths with Shalair at Baker Insurance. When we moved from Florida to New York last summer, we faced annoying issues and damages due to our disappointing experience with the moving company. As I started listing everything, I had little hope we would ever see any settlement money. But thats where Shalair delivered: outstanding customer service, super smooth coordination in getting an expert on site, and most importantly, an extremely fair settlement outcome. Did I get everything I wanted? No. But I genuinely felt she was on my side, had a fair understanding of the contract, and handled the damage claim reasonably. Honestly, I hope I never have to deal with her again - and thats only because I hope future movers will be better. But if I ever have to file an insurance claim again, god please let it be with Shalair.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

1 /5 gina zinn: Horrendous experience with a relocation, multiple damaged pieces of expensive future, and this company refused to pay the damages. The claim rep, Jessica Cox, didn’t attempt to help or proceed in good faith. Your response is comical, and insincere, considering the point of the complaint is that you did NOT compensate for the loss incurred that IS your insured’s responsibility.

3 /5 Meredith Goldsmith: I had a move from California to New York which unfortunately damaged some expensive pieces of furniture. Fortunately I had insurance, for replacement value! Unfortunately, I have been working with this insurance company for almost 2 months and thry are very slow, and the terms of what they will cover seem very strict. They are trying to settle with me for much less than the replacement cost and are making it a big hassle as well. I recommend potential customers read the contract terms carefully ahead of time. I spent thousands of dollars on the insurance policy and some of the items are not covered right off the bat. In addition, they want to pay me what they say it will cost to repair the items even though I have been told the furniture is not repairable. I have not given up yet! I hope with patience we will reach an agreement.
