I make sure to make my appointment for the next year at the same time of this year’s appointment. They have always saved me money and got me the best prescription prices. This last season was especially important. Everyone was making the assumption that generic drugs were cheaper than brand names. That turned out to be shocking because choosing all generic drugs would’ve caused me to have something like a $7,000 bill For the year. They had an inspiration to go back and rerun everything, but this time put in the brand names For my diabetes medications. This resulted in bringing the estimated expense for the year Into a reasonable and manageable expense. When I went to the pharmacy to fill these medications, They automatically chose generic. When I went to the pharmacy to pick them up, I told no that I would not take that because the brand name was cheaper. They pulled it up On their computers and found out that what I was saying was the truth. It made me wonder how many people would be overpaying because they did not know this bit of information
