OneMain Financial - Beaver Falls (PA)

1 /5 C. H.: Applied for a loan and received multiple texts and emails about scheduling a "required" phone call. Over several weeks, I used the scheduling link provided to set up an appointment 5 different times. 2/5 times they called well after the appointment window when I was no longer able to take a call. The other 3 times, they failed to call at all. I also called several times to speak with the loan officer assigned to my application and was told each time that she was either unavailable, with another customer or not in that day. My initial text message stated I was "APPROVED" for the loan. But unfortunately, I never got beyond that text message since the business chose not to reach out during scheduled times or be available to actually finalize the loan. What a terrible experience that ends up being nothing more than a hard check hit to my credit report.

They have always been very up front on every detail of the loan process. They have always treated me like family and made the process easy. I always recommend One Main to everyone. 1 /5 Aletta Chavez: Horrible customer service and complete waste of my time! After I completed all tasks they asked of me (updated leinholder, obtained documents needed from banks, car insurance company, etc and made trip all the way out to their location) they took one look at me and said from over the counter “we just realized you have an out of state vehicle. We can’t help you”. That was it. No apologies. No further explanation. Just dismissed without even extending the courtesy to meet with the person my appointment was with to discuss any other options available (secured loan, another branch, updating plates). Serious stonewalling. Next time check before you have someone do all that work. Or at least allow them to have their appointment and talk through other options.
