1 /5 Van Tor: Terrible experience with Northwestern. After many back and forths I was told at the last minute that I would not receive LTC insurance by a state deadline despite having only received my form at midnight the day of. I was not told on the phone or in email about them closing WA submissions nor did I receive responses to my numerous emails looking to confirm that I had submitted my forms. When I finally received a response, they said they attempted to blame me for not submitting forms on time despite having responded with documents on numerous emails to George and his assistant with no response. The only way I was even made aware that I would not be receiving coverage is when I was reviewing my form and noticed numerous misspellings. When I contacted them to ask for names to be corrected, they told me that I had missed the deadline. They were unable to explain to me how I was supposed to make that deadline given I didnt receive my form to sign until midnight which I responded to at 8 am when I first opened my email for the day. Its interesting to me that they were very aggressive to contact me for my bank information yet made no efforts to respond to my questions about the form. Very sorry to my friends and co-workers who I encouraged to reach out to NW because they were also largely denied coverage at the last minute by this agency.
