1 /5 Samantha Smith: DO NOT WORK WITH BARBARA!
I came in a few days ago due to being a few years behind on taxes. Upon entering the building I was greeted by a blonde haired older woman who could not care less about my situation. When I told her my current tax situation she scoffed and asked why i hadnt filed my taxes for those years, as if thats any of her business unless she planned on helping me, which I could tell she had no interest in. She kept reiterating the cost and how much time itd take to help me file as if I had never filed taxes before. Her tone made me very uncomfortable as well as the assumption I couldnt pay. After informing her that yes I do know the cost as well as the time needed she told me to come back the next day because she wouldnt be in until the evening, saying she has a full time job to attend to,which nobody asked her why or even when she would be in because after the condescending tone and corrections to things I said that werent even wrong I had no intention at all of even coming back to HRBlock let alone doing my taxes with her. Im assuming she added that in to belittle me because she assumed I didnt have a job which is why I didnt file my taxes because theres no other reason to tell me about your other full time job when I never even asked you when youd be in . Ive had a lot of personal things going on the last few years that have set me back from doing my taxes that Im not comfortable talking about with random people and after speaking with her Im glad I went with someone else. This is the 2nd encounter Ive had with this same story where the tax prepared tried to belittle me.
