I have been a customer of Wayne Emmons State Farm in Norwich NY since 2009, my most recent policy being established in 2013. 15 years as a loyal customer of my local agent.
First, I’ll say that Amy has always been a pleasure, as has Wayne himself. Two great people that unfortunately work in an office Where Wayne’s son Steve’s behavior far overshadows their excellent service.
Over the years I have had the absolute displeasure of dealing with Steve regarding my auto policy. Steve is hands down the worst customer service representative I have ever had to deal with. And to be certain I wasnt being overly sensitive, I had several different people listen in on my calls and they too agreed that he was incredibly rude and condescending.
I have called only occasionally to ask about simple things - how much does this discount save me? What will my bill be if i remove this vehicle? And every time I’ve been met with an exaggerated sigh. And an air of total inconvenience.
I have often been talked over, talked down to, and generally treated as a bother and not a loyal customer.
I recently began shopping around for a new agent after my most recent experience with Steve sent me over the edge. I was even willing to pay MORE for a new policy to simply no longer deal with Steve’s abrasive attitude.
I went with Gates Cole in New Berlin.
They were fast, polite, and super easy to talk to when I stopped in the office to discuss my quote. They actually saved me HUNDREDS of dollars off my policy which was identical to the policy I had at State farm. Im grateful for their exceptional customer service and the pleasant experience I had dealing with them.
