1 /5 Amy Clarke: These people are unprofessional to the point of being rude. Its funny how theyre called social services yet their treatment of the public is a huge disservice.
They do everything in their power to not help anyone. They dont answer the phone even when theyre in the office. They take approximately 3-4 business days to return any calls. Any attempts to reach them are hampered by their overuse of the answering machine. If you need direct assistance, then youll have to go in person but even thats futile given the presence of the secretary whos been there probably before I was born, perhaps even longer, if my theories about her being an energy vampire are correct.
Fun fact: just recently that same employee at the front desk lied to my face regarding their fax number. Since theyll do as little as humanly possible, theyve opted to leave their fax number off the website. I asked what was the fax number and immediately the secretary claimed it was on my Medicaid decertification forms, which by the way, Ive filled out those forms enough times to know that NOWHERE ON THE FORMS IS THE ACTUAL FAX NUMBER. I told her its not on the form nor is it on their website. The nerve!
Overall, the tone of this establishment is indifferent, condescending, and only contributes to my cynicism.
P.S. my first review was taken down after I took it upon myself to give disillusioned Carmelites the fax number. Interesting! Must be DSS! They dont like the idea of the public having the information needed to get things done and over with, not surprising given their track record of incompetence, ableism, and pure laziness.
