Chris Dewards I’ve worked with several financial planning firms over the years, and candidly, most left me frustrated, whether due to inexperience, high turnover, poor follow-through, poor or rushed service, and a general sense that I was just part of the assembly line. Most importantly, I found that firms in the past were always ‘selling me’ on something (ex: an annuity or life insurance policy I didn’t need) vs. educating. About 3 years ago I moved my family and business wealth to AFG, specifically Steve Kennedy’s team. A few things that were impressive: Responsiveness- regardless of the complexity. Never issues sending an email into the void. Nothing slips through the cracks. High-Level Acumen without the sales pitch- Steve’s been able to navigate extremely complex financial, estate and business owner topics and distill them down into plain English. Support Staff- Whatever model they have, works real well. You don’t feel like you’re dealing with a call center but a well-run family business. With Steve and his team, we feel as if we are family. After years of bouncing between other firms that never really delivered, I couldn’t be happier with AFG. The combination of responsiveness, depth of knowledge, and the way they humanize financial planning is exactly what I had been searching for. — Chris

Dona Giglio Funny story: Sort of sad too, After my husband passed away in 2018 my ex husband of 20+ years past (who always scrutinized every penny earned and spent) recommended Michael McGovern and Modern Bookkeeping to me. I took his advice (the only time ever probably) Thanks to Modern Bookkeeping 5 years later I am retired and without worry. Michael has expert advice in all aspects of financial planning and he made me feel like part of the family. As I take stock and express gratitude it occurs to me that I should let the world know. If you want an honest, reliable and digitally savvy financial care provider give them a call! I am out of state and it never occured to me that I could post a review in another state, duh.
