Chris Dewards I’ve worked with several financial planning firms over the years, and candidly, most left me frustrated, whether due to inexperience, high turnover, poor follow-through, poor or rushed service, and a general sense that I was just part of the assembly line. Most importantly, I found that firms in the past were always ‘selling me’ on something (ex: an annuity or life insurance policy I didn’t need) vs. educating. About 3 years ago I moved my family and business wealth to AFG, specifically Steve Kennedy’s team. A few things that were impressive: Responsiveness- regardless of the complexity. Never issues sending an email into the void. Nothing slips through the cracks. High-Level Acumen without the sales pitch- Steve’s been able to navigate extremely complex financial, estate and business owner topics and distill them down into plain English. Support Staff- Whatever model they have, works real well. You don’t feel like you’re dealing with a call center but a well-run family business. With Steve and his team, we feel as if we are family. After years of bouncing between other firms that never really delivered, I couldn’t be happier with AFG. Elderly and disabled customers not accommodated even when asked at front desk. clerks were ignoring people standing on.line to enter to help those who were inside and could not ask.a windows clerk in the waiting area for assistance. System not.customer friendly. Many people were from.outside NYC assisting relatives with paying property taxes. No dedicated lines or assistance with people who owed excessive amounts of parking ticket. People and corporations paying property taxes were coming glad with peoples who cars were towed.or.owed extensive.amounts of.parking tickets. law.abiding citizens just want.to.pay taxes. online system was not working. no kiosk in the area dedicated to pay property tax with the assistance of a representative.
