1 /5 Chris Myers: I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Rondout Savings Bank. Recently, my account was charged $370 due to fraudulent transactions. Shockingly, the bank does not have a dedicated fraud department or the ability to reverse these charges.
When I called customer service, the representative repeatedly apologized but offered no real solution. They did not attempt to reverse the multiple overdraft charges that ensued. Instead, they suggested I drive to the bank in person to fill out paperwork so their corporate office could *request* the return of my money. This process is both time-consuming and inconvenient, especially in a situation where prompt action is crucial.
The lack of immediate support and effective resolution measures for fraud-related issues is unacceptable. I expected more from a bank that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with no confidence in their ability to protect my financial interests.
