Jefferson Community College - Watertown (NY)

4 /5 Lallint: Me, a 13 year old, went to the college for a tour not expecting to be able to due to covid, but a nice guy named Collin gave me about a 20 minute tour of the jules center and from the looks of it the college is very nice, I cant say for sure though because I dont go here. From the looks of it, 5 stars, but just in case Ill give it 4. Images uploaded are by me under CC0.

1 /5 Elias: Don’t go here. This school is not military friendly. Had a B+ in a class when I had to go to the field training for two weeks. I told the professor at least a month in advance. She told me I failed for not attending for those two weeks, that I had to be present like anyone else. All work was completed in advance. I reported the incident to her supervisor because I know military are an exception to attendance as long as they have a memorandum from the commander “which I did”. Once they realized they couldn’t fail me for attendance they needed justification for already failing me. The professor was old and she didn’t know how to navigate the online portal for issuing assignments, she accidentally duplicated more than half the assignments and verbally told all students to ignore the duplicates which had due dates and would appear is incomplete. She used those duplicates to fail me and justify her actions.

1 /5 Ashley McHale: How long do students need to suffer under instructors who do literally the bare minimum possible? What are we even paying for? I can buy a textbook and read it. I dont need to pay this school 600 to do it. We are paying to be TAUGHT. How many bad class reviews need to be received before these in-it-for-the-check professors are let go? L.Cov is terrible for students every single semester. And yet... still "teaching." I had him, and he was non-existent, not even a single message, contradicting due dates, syllabus full of errors, and everything in the classes made from a third party website like Cengage. And every semester, I hear other students having the same problem. Do better Jefferson Community College.

5 /5 Takoda Hager: The best 2 years of my life! I attended JCC for a degree in Zoo Technology and it was definitely worth every penny! Wonderful faculty, small but beautiful campus, well kept dorms and great vibes. Only complaint is that dorms can be rowdy and noisy but overall very nice. Proud alumni, Class of 2019

1 /5 Miri Rynendaith: After this summer semester I had taken a BUS Law course with L. Covell. This is by far the worst class I gave taken. He doesnt respond to emails, you ask a question trying to figure something out and you are left clueless wondering about what to do or where to go with no direction. I feel as if this Professor is checked out and is only there to collect a paycheck without assisting the students. Someone needs to look into this as it will more than likely become a Continued issue. I will be willing to edit and change my review once someone reaches out to address the issue.
