Generations Bank - Waterloo (NY)

5 /5 Deb DiMatteo: Generations Bank has been wonderful for our family. My 97 year old mother gets cash to pay for things and she writes out exactly what she wants in a variety of bills. The staff are very patient with her and cheerful to us.

5 /5 Howard Strader: Its absolutely wonderful doing business with a small town local bank. SueAnn Lincoln is great along with the rest of the staff. They always call you by your name and always check to see if Gunner is with me to send out dog treats for him. It doesnt get much better than Generations bank.

1 /5 Andrew Velonis: Very unsatisfactory. I set up a new account and they did not tell me that deposits would take nine business days to become available, as compared to three that I am used to with other banks. I tried to do a wire transfer with funds that were available and that got delayed for unknown reasons. This delay is costing me thousands. Now I found out that my checking account does not allow me to write checks. A checking account that does not allow checks. Why do they call it a checking account? As soon as my money becomes available, I will withdraw it all, close the account and file a complaint with the state banking authority.

2 /5 Richard Brumfield: Excessive ATM fees, go to the next bank down or across the street to Walmart ATM. Update, yes ATM fees are standard for non account holders, but yours are EXCESSIVE! I would not want a bank that would do that to others.
