Nadine Ive known Joe and Ina for many years, from when they were in Forest Ave, flea market! They both will go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. They truly have a unique shop, lots of vintage jewelry, I think thats what drew me to them in the first place, nothing is same ole same ole. I was so happy to see theyre still in business on New Dorp Lane, since Ive been off the island for over 8 years. I travelled to them from upstate NY to get my granddaughter a piece of jewelery for her 18th birthday and graduation. As soon as I walked in Ina remembered me, we had some nice conversation and a pleasant shopping experience! Barbara Olsen Elizabeth is an absolutely terrific jeweler who does beautiful work. She has repaired several pieces for me, has restrung a pearl necklace and a jade bracelet, replaced a missing side stone in an emerald ring, and has cleaned many older pieces. All her work is beautifully executed and fairly priced. She is deeply trustworthy and knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. I highly, highly recommend!

MaryKate Baldwin Im a little late on this review. Back in November my fiance (boyfriend at the time) came to visit me. We havent seen each other for almost 8 months due to the pandemic and needed a well deserved vacation. He surprised me by proposing and had this whole plan worked out how we get the ring sized and have it shipped off to get it 5-6 weeks later. My parents had come to this place a few years back and had a ring sized here. I didnt know how long the wait time was so we dropped it off expecting at least a week. He didnt know our situation or anything. But still got it done extreme promptly. Taking less than 2 days to get my ring back.. that my fiance was than actually able to slip it on my finger and ask me again to marry him. Extreme friendly, relatable and great prices for wonderful craftsmanship. He even was able to place where my fiance was from in Nova Scotia because hes gone before. Thank you!

Johnny, the owner, answered most of my questions and agreed to find out more about things he was unsure of and get back to me, which he did the next day. During our conversations, I learned things I hadn’t known before that might have caused me to make the wrong purchase. Johnny’s knowledge and his honesty relieved whatever hesitation I still had about buying something, sight unseen, from a store on the other side of the country. I felt I could trust him and I was right. From the point of sale to the day of delivery, Johnny handled everything promptly and efficiently, giving me constant updates. The product proved to be everything he described and the appraisal he included assured me that I had made a wise choice. After going to few places to get offers on an engagement/ wedding ring set, I found this place after getting my worst offer of the day at a store just down the road. Hans was great to deal with. He was friendly, courteous, honest and efficient. He made me the best offer that day. The whole exchange took 10 minutes and I left feeling that good about the whole process.

Frank Hoxie is very knowledgeable about the different pieces of jewelry and was ready to answer any questions we had.
