Robert Kruse Ive visited these guys here and there for years now. IMO, the biggest selection, floorspace, and well priced items. Best Pawn Shop in GR. I had visited the one at Leonard and Alpine a few times, and they were close, both in selection and service, especially in tools, but as that one was torn down a year ago, these guys now hold the crown. Ive seen them work with people if they needed a few days to make a payment, in my experience theyve been knowledgeable, and if not, not scared to say so, then accessing the internet for information. Friendly bunch of guys, who give a fair price, IF one understands what to expect from a Pawn Shop. In case someone reading this doesnt, if one is going to pawn or sell something, keep in mind they are a business. They have to keep the lights on, and make a profit FIRST!! As a general rule, one can expect to be offered about a third of what an item is WORTH if one goes to pawn or sell an item. (Watch Pawn Stars a couple times, same general percentages) Keep in mind that because YOU bought that TV Four years ago for 5k, youre not getting 4k, or even 3k. Yeah, four years ago, that TV was worth 5k. But with advances in tech, it MAY only be worth 1k now. As such if you go to pawn youre probably only gonna get an offer for $250-$400. If you keep your expectations realistic, youll understand these are a good bunch of guys who stand behind their product, offer and have decent prices, stand behind their product, and have good customer service. Joel Duncan Under new ownership and causing many issues. Short version of the story: All FY21 tax documents were submitted by the firms required deadline - well over a month before the tax due date. The firm routinely over sold their abilities to handle the workload. The day before the tax due date they finally submitted an extension - after me requesting multiple times. After the delay / extension / poor customer experience - I drove 30 miles north to collect my documents. Two months later the IRS sends me a $1,300 bill for improperly filed tax extensions - they simply put zero on all amounts owed - so interest + penalty had to be paid - After contacting the firm about this bill, they refused to pay (because I took my business elsewhere) - I have in writing from the owner not to worry about any fees prior as the extensions were being filed (this was very well documented due to my concerns) - the IRS has waived the fee after reviewing this saga I am never one to bash a company for a single bad experience. This was a catastrophe of epic proportions. They are so unorganized. As of writing this - their google address is still not updated (~3 months after moving). I would highly encourage anyone considering this company to perform proper due diligence first.
