Credit Union ONE - Southgate (MI)

1 /5 Char Mathews: They reprocessed my vehicle after I slammed my head at work and developed seizues and have to take care of a son who has stage 5 kidney disease and lost my job. I get it I owed them money from being behind. But they hired a towing company who jammed through my brand new fence at 3am to get to the vehicle in my backyard, and took it off the hinges. Now their trying to say I owe more money from the difference from hem selling the vehcile after reprocession. It prob had damage from the tow truck driver dragging it down my driveway by the drag marks he left. They should sue the towing company for the difference if the vehicle had damage they stoled my purse, my sons medication and over $1000 that was in the vehicle on my private property. They broke into my backyard instead of knocking on the door to get the vehicle lesvibg skin marks down ny driveway in a attempt to hurry and leave before they were caught. I called CUO at the time and showed them all pictures and they completely blamed me for the tow truck driver breaking into my backyard and stealing me and my sons personal belongings including life saving nedication for diabetes and stage 5 kidney disease medication. Heartless bank who wouldnt work with someone with a serious condition to help them pay off their balance and then expects them to pay 16k for a vehicle that was probably damaged when it was taken in a rush after they broke into my yard. Curious who else they did this too.

2 /5 Marie: I hate using this online services. Ive been trying to access my account balance and it keep redirected me to change my pin. I dont want to change my pin. I followed the steps under website and they dont match up with the automatic voicemail services, so they need to change that. This is really, really frustrating. For me now going into the South Gate location, I have no problems. I only have problems with calling. I can never find out my balance any other bank. You can call and find out your balance for some reason break. When you call for your balance, they want you to change your pin.I dont wanna change my pen.This is really frustrating for me oh, and I really, really hate their online banking app. I try to change my password. And they said that they dont have nobody in their system with my name or my social security number. But I have a account with you guys, but you dont have me in your system for me to change my password. Now, thats some b******* I need to find a new bank.

1 /5 Kevin Miles: Update: 03/12/25 I received an adverse notification from CUO today and their reason they claim they could not open an account for me was: Did not meet member eligibility. : Live, Work, Worship in the state of Michigan, which is a total lie. I gave them my DL and had all that information with me when I came into open the account. I have lived in Michigan the majority of my life both born and raised here. and spent the last 5 years in Southgate, MI. ___________________________________ If I could give this Credit Union a ZERO I would they did nothing but waste my time and money! I attempted to open an account online which told me that I needed to visit my local Credit Union One. I called to verify exactly what they needed from me to open my account. They told me only my State ID or DL. Which of course I have. I asked them specifically if there is anything else or if there would be anything that would prevent me from opening the account since I dont drive I have to take an Uber ride there and back and really didnt want to waste my time if they had other things that would prevent me from opening the account. I was told nothing else and they would be happy to open an account for me with my proper identification. Mind you I am disabled and in my 6os so a wasted trip and money is not something I like having to deal with, this was the very reason I asked questions before I took the ride to this location. Upon arriving they have an asinine way of doing things there and the where to stand or sit while waiting to speak with a banker. once I was greeted I explained the purpose of my trip to CO. Provided my Identification and waited as the banker began to open my account. then she begins to tell me they cant open me an account because they use Experian and it says NOT to open an account but they cant tell me why! at first I thought ok maybe its because I have a credit freeze since I try to protect my credit from fraud etc. But, NO she says it would have told her that there was a credit freeze. Yet, you cant tell me why you cant open the account? I mean I could see if I had issues with ChexSystems or EWS but both of those services show my accounts in good standing. If you are going to tell someone they need to visit a branch to show and verify ID, to open an account you also need to specify if there is an issue so people dont waste their time or money especially those of us who cannot afford to own a car. Instead they not only wasted my time they wasted money it cost me $20 to visit and come home from Credit Union One. While I cannot attest to their customer service for accounts that already established I can say that working with a new customer (member) that you play this B.S. and cost someone money is not only WRONG but it pisses me the F off! If you have a great relationship with CUO then great! I am not here to bash them on their relationships with current members but to put someone through the B.S. they put me through today was WRONG as F*!
