1 /5 mustangsally0928: My call was never returned. I found out why when I realized Chuck Laegeler was the states attorney now. I used him for my divorce and he was incompetent as a lawyer and apparently still. He wouldn’t return my calls or send me a bill after my initial deposit to him but then spoke badly about me to my ex husbands attorney. He never finished his job, and lied to me repeatedly(when I was able to get a hold of him) regarding motions he was supposed to file on my behalf but really didn’t. Another time he told me to be on standby for a zoom call on a specific date and time with the judge, him, my ex, and his attorney. I waited hours for a zoom that never came because it was never really scheduled. When I confronted Laegeler about his incompetence, deliberate acts of non communication, and the emotional, and financial harm he was causing me, he apologized profusely over the phone and guaranteed me he’d finally file the motions to persue and complete my case. But instead of doing his job, he proceeded to block me on all levels including FB and phone. He was more concerned with himself with running for states attorney than he cared about his paying clients and cases. He literally scammed me by taking my money and then didn’t do his job. During one court day Laegeler did not provide the judge with a specific financial paper that he had apparently requested months earlier. Instead of taking responsibility, my own lawyer Chuck Laegeler threw me under the bus to save his own butt with the judge and blamed me for him not providing the paperwork! I had to stand there looking like an idiot while the judge yelled at me profusely for something I was never made aware of! Laegeler is NEVER prepared in court and won’t hesitate to screw over his own clients. I feel badly for the town/county that this idiot is now the states attorney! He should be disbarred in my opinion and he’s not competent to be in charge of anything let alone be a states attorney!
