1 /5 Luke Lack: Shocked this place has a 4.5 star review. I called in asking for a price to have documents drafted for a simple for sale by owner (FSBO) agreement, one friend buying a home from another. It’s a very simple and common agreement, most places have a standard flat rate for this. I was told that the attorney would have to talk to me to even give me a price, but to even talk to the attorney I’d have to pay to have a meeting with them at $300 per hour, as a “strategy meeting.” Clearly a scam, is this even a real law firm?

1 /5 William Hunter: I had a contingency case with my old attorney. Sivia bought his firm. I met with him & thought it would be easier to stay with his firm since he retained an attorney familiar with my case. I was ignoring my gut on this one. Always go with your gut. Todd had recently been censured by the state of IL for a conflict of interest. The firm that represented him in his disciplinary hearing was the same firm I was opposing in my case. He did not disclose this information to me. He says he told me 3 times about this. I disagree. Also if he told me 3 times he knew it was important to tell me as he remembered telling me something a couple years before & how many times he told me. Seems like it just would have been easier to document it in the engagement letter like you are suppose to. In the middle of my case Paul & his attorney quit communicating with me. I was sending emails more frequently than usual to them as we were approaching our deposition deadline. I finally said if you don’t respond I am going to have to get an attorney to help me out in this case since you won’t respond to me. Todd Sivia finally responded and told me he had just set 3 depositions for the case. No depositions were set anywhere near this time according to the itemized bill which I saw for the first time 2 months after he dropped my case at a mediation. About the mediation. He set up a mediation between me and the defendant and their council who was also Todds council (mentioned earlier) 6 months before he took my case. The mediation took 5 minutes. Todd didn’t confer with me about any money range before we met. Sivia Law just asked me if I would go and I did. When they started talking about ranges I said I wasn’t really interested in that range. Todd blew up and said “now I need to apologize to the other side”. I was confused at that statement as I did not know about the conflict at that point but now I am aware of it and it makes sense. Do not use this firm for anything!!’

5 /5 Amanda Caldwell: All of the staff I’ve come in contact with have been very kind but above all Tina and Paul made the difference for us. Through a very difficult and frustrating time they were able to keep us sane through the whole process. To my mother and myself they were like family and we were all the way in Arizona during the process. With them and all the support and positivity they give we won. Definitely recommend!!
