1 /5 Nicholas Swartz: Ive used this bank my entire life, largely or out of necessity but it felt helpful to have a small bank where I could get personalized help. But what Ive come to realize this institution is entirely incompetent. It is truly run as if children are in charge. There are some very sweet, kind staff across the branches, but also a number of incredibly rude, poorly trained staff.
I guarantee, at some point they will cancel your debit card without warning. Ive been unlucky enough to experience this at least 4 times. Most recently, I was informed that they now cancel your card if you dont use it every 60 days (and was told this was always the policy, despite having had multiple accounts over the years that were very seldom used). Im now left stranded in an emergency, unable to use my emergency debit card. Most normal banks implement this after 6-12 months, for comparison.
This bank has struggled for years to catch up with technology and modern banking services. And when they do roll them out, they are so poorly implemented that they will end up costing you time and money in the long run. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere.
