1 /5 Wayne Jones: Extremely poor experience. I was manipulated into switching to Ogden Insurance by one of their saleman who had been our agent for years with Horace Mann. After a strong sales pitch, we switched insurance to Ogden. Initially the costs were lower and then steadily went up. They tried to make us feel good about the higher costs by sending us "refund" checks because we were such good customers who never turned in a claim.
Ironically after years of paying premiums, we put put in a claim after the July 17th hail storms that devasted Chatham and Divernon areas. Long story shorter, literally every house in our entire neighborhood had insurance put on new roofs, gutters etc.
We were denied and West Bend Insurance Home Insurance/Ogden were rude and dissmissive when we sent them pictures of the damage that multiple contractors photographed. BUYER BEWARE!
Also after Horace Mann looked at what they were charging, I became aware that they had my home replacement value at double the amount needed (which alloyed me to pay an even higher premium.
In short, Ogden is very friendly when taking premiums. However, the insurance they sold us turned out to be worthless.
