1 /5 T K: IDOI accepts misrepresentations from an insurance carriers responses to complaints as cause to close any citizens complaint. IDOI was NO help whatsoever at resolving issues with a bad Allstate insurance agent and their staff, causing delays in coverage for my small business, and then ultimately, no coverage at all.

5 /5 Accordion Mike: Craig, I believe at the Chicago office, is the absolute best. He answered all my questions proffessionally and courteously. Craig shows that the IDOI can be your best advocate.

1 /5 Cory Bolduc: Attempted to advocate for an older single woman to receive proper support in identifying the correct siding on her home so she could be fully indemnified for storm damage. We received one vague response that sided with the insurance carrier and no follow-up whatsoever. This lack of action contributes to the ongoing abuse of policyholders by corrupt insurance companies, and its unacceptable. When state agencies fail to act, they become complicit in the mistreatment of vulnerable homeowners.

1 /5 Jesse McLaughlin: Corrupt. First Chicago Insurance has the most complaints in Illinois. They did not affirm or deny my claim within 60 days as required by Illinois code. On day 62 I asked them for a written response for the delay. They than asked me for a copy of the Police Report. Which proved they failed to investigate within the 21 days as required. They never answer their phones and they hide their email address. They are also using fake/bogus reviews on their website, an FTC violation. I sent over so much evidence and proof of this to the Department of Insurance. They did not email, call, or write me any letters of concern. Or take action against First Chicago. They just responded thru a 3rd party and said they will handle the complaints directly with First Chicago. What a joke. The other driver admitted to being on his cell phone and not seeing me. He ran a stop sign and I had the complete right away with no traffic signal or stop sign in front of me. My damage was minimal. But I cant stop thinking about all of the other innocent victims of First Chicago Insurance Company. The Illinois Department of Insurance states on their website they are here " To protect consumers by providing assistance and information, by efficiently regulating the insurance industrys market behavior ". This is a flat out lie. They are allowing innocent victims to be taken advantage of at their time of need by allowing this company to continue to operate in Illinois. First Chicago Insurance is a white collar criminal organization. I believe the Illinois Department of Insurance is protecting companies like First Chicago Insurance from consumers.
