1 /5 Amy Lutheran: My father recently passed and had all of his banking with First Mid Bank & Trust. I contacted them after obtaining all of the necessary legal documents as the Executor of his estate to open a Trust Account while we wait for the probate period to pass. I was told that they needed me to send them copies of all of my legal documents, which I did. Then they called me back and said they needed all of those legal documents to be scanned in pdf format and resent to them, which I did. Then they had an employee not the actual manager call and tell me that I had to fly or drive in and meet with them in person in order to open an account. I literally spent money downloading a pdf application and hours sending them all of my legal documents in order to get a simple account established. Only to be told that I have to drive 8 hours and do it in person and my sister who is co-Executor of the estate has to fly or drive in from Arizona. This bank has not been the least bit helpful while my family is grieving and offering any kind of assistance to us whatsoever. My only recourse is to let the public know how they have treated my fathers family after his passing.
