First Mid Bank & Trust - Paris (IL)

1 /5 Walton Technology: I banked with First Bank and Trust for years. Then boom the First mid bank came along and bought them out. And no the customer service calls go to some call center not my local bank. Cant get ahold of anyone local without walking into the location. Then I had my Mortage through them with escrow of taxes and insurance. They didnt even pay my taxes on my Mortage ending having to go there in person and complain about it and then still took them 3 days after that to even pay them. If it wasnt for me knowing some local people and them reporting the taxes not being paid to me I would have had my name printed in the news paper.

1 /5 Douscheon Mandick: Another bank that puts policies in effect that makes it difficult to live life. A bank that has become so scared of fraud they refuse real customers the access to their money. No wonder everyone keeps cash in their safes. Banks have become a failure to the people.

1 /5 Amy Lutheran: My father recently passed and had all of his banking with First Mid Bank & Trust. I contacted them after obtaining all of the necessary legal documents as the Executor of his estate to open a Trust Account while we wait for the probate period to pass. I was told that they needed me to send them copies of all of my legal documents, which I did. Then they called me back and said they needed all of those legal documents to be scanned in pdf format and resent to them, which I did. Then they had an employee not the actual manager call and tell me that I had to fly or drive in and meet with them in person in order to open an account. I literally spent money downloading a pdf application and hours sending them all of my legal documents in order to get a simple account established. Only to be told that I have to drive 8 hours and do it in person and my sister who is co-Executor of the estate has to fly or drive in from Arizona. This bank has not been the least bit helpful while my family is grieving and offering any kind of assistance to us whatsoever. My only recourse is to let the public know how they have treated my fathers family after his passing.

1 /5 Cody Stearley: I have had so many issues with this bank and their customer service representatives are the absolute worst! They failed to send me a debit card for weeks and they had my correct address. Anytime I have an issue and have to call support I cringe because its always a ditzy uninformed girl that is literally NEVER any help. Save yourself some aggregation and annoyance by choosing a better bank with a legit customer service department. Update. Just stopped by to get a debit card printed and I waited 30 minutes for the girl, Morgan, that was supposed to be printing my card to go to lunch. Theyre still the worst.
