The lady who answered tried forcing me to give my social security number, where I went to Elementary School, addresses, blood type, etc. just to find out how much a new book of checks would cost me. You dont need that information to tell me a new book a checks is $23. I found a new book of checks cheaper through Deluxe.com/checks Do not reply to me with "call our customer service". Because I did call and this is the experience I had. This review is for your customer service. Worst bank Ive ever had. I wish First Mid would disappear and bring back Blackhawk.

1 /5 k f: Worthless bank in belvidere. Puts holds on checks that wont clear for over a month. Nobody can give an answer. Its all I dont know. Ill take my 3 commerical accounts elsewhere to a bank that cares about customer service.

5 /5 jason wheeler: Once upon a time when it was Black Hawk bank we opened an account for our weeee little lass...... Flash forward to a merger/ buyout and our daughter on the verge of turning 18. We stopped in to add a debit/checking account. I have to say that the blue eyed sphinx that helped us was just what the DR ordered. She explained all the ins and outs to her, about having her first debit card. And the possible pitfalls that come along with failing to be responsible. Next year will be her senior year, so hopefully over the summer she will get experience managing her finances. Thank you First Mid and a BIG thanks to the blue eyed sphinx.
