It was even more difficult since my sister had just died which precipitated me taking over my mothers estate as well as executing my sisters.
After speaking to him and two other probate lawyers, we chose Mr. Porter.
It was a great decision. Mr. Porter is very efficient, very clear on time lines and explains things very clearly when asked. He made great use of email and billed for these emails extremely fairly. He was very supportive during this very difficult time. He prioritized necessary actions, e.g., placing the notice to creditors as soon as he could.
His assistant, Deanne, is also awesome. She would return emails and phone calls very quickly. She would also answer any questions she could. If she couldnt answer them, shed get the answers and respond in a timely manner. She was also very kind and supportive during this awful time.
From what I can tell, Mr. Porter got the estates running and closed within the minimum time possible.
If you are in the unfortunate position of needing a probate lawyer, Mr. Porter should be at the top of your list.
