Community First Bank of the Heartland - Mt Vernon (IL)

1 /5 T Wright: I was looking to open an account at this location. I asked a simple question as to the process of cashing a check/opening account. I was immediately told that they would not open an account for me just to cash a check. RUDE!!!! I never said I only wanted to cash a check. Talking down to a potential customer is not the way to do/retain business. I am legitimately looking for a local bank with great customer service. I AM ALL ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. This service was an epic fail.

1 /5 Victoria Dennis: Cashed checks at both locations for 8 to 10 weeks then today couldnt and tellers at both locations are extremely rude would never recommend this bank and the bad thing is the same cashier has cashed the checks before

1 /5 Brenda Phone: This bank is a terrible bank they will make sure they take your money if you stop using your bank card. They act like my account was overdraft by some fpb internet service, once I looked it up I found out it was a service that the bank use to overdraft your account. Ive had multiple banks in the past that I stopped using and my money was still there. When I signed up this was a total free checking account and once I stop using my account they are trying to charge me I will not be paying this account and if it shows up on my credit report I will take action. 1 /5 Darth Rater: This Bank keeps calling me. I dont know why. I do not have an account with them. I do not want an account with them. I am happy with the bank I have used for 13 years! As for Community First Bank: I have blocked your number, but you continue to call. Please stop bothering your friends and neighbors searching for new customers. If you want more customers, just pay more interest on CDs and/or savings and charge less interest on loans! As Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet: "Neither a Lender nor Borrower be."

1 /5 C G: Rude and uncaring. Left several messages with no response. They far away from this Bank they are nothing but worthless thieves that will not respond but will threaten you with everything I dont know how a place like this could do business in a small community and get away with it
